Underground Cache - Protect Your Supplies
For thousands of years people have been burying their treasure underground in secret cashes, to protect their valuables from thieves, natural disasters and corrupt governments. A hidden waterproof cache is the safest way to keep your survival gear secure.
Choosing a Location for An Underground Cache
The countryside is full of hidden caches, many were buried and locations were forgotten, or people simply passed away and their secret loot remains hidden underground. Choosing a suitable location is very important. Your survival cache can be hidden on your property, or on public land. Each has it's inherent risks. No matter where you choose to hide your cache, marking it's location and being able to find it again is of the utmost importance. Using suitable landmarks and GPS coordinates and not trees which can be cut down, or burned. It may be advantageous to have multiple caches instead of placing all your eggs in one basket.
Items to Store in An Underground Cache
Items that should be stored in a cache should be those considered for long term storage. Since your items will be buried, they will not be redly accessible. Plan your cache contents based on your needs.
